Windows 11 Update 24H2 causing issues - November 2024

Due to bugs in the recent 24H2 Windows 11 update, you may experience I/O error messages when logging into C21. The message reads: Unable to send/receive change notification messages with any other workstation (create broadcast handle error:3025)

The message appears to be harmless but does indicate issues with server to workstation connectivity. We recommend uninstalling the Windows 11 24H2 update in case these error messages lead to any problems with your data. Be sure to make a unique backup of your company data in System/Company/Backup every day you enter new transactions to ensure your data will be secure. We will send out an email when we hear from Microsoft that they have a patch or new update that fixes this issue.

To uninstall the update, press Windows + I to open the Settings app. Navigate to the Update & Security > Windows Update. Click on Update History and scroll down, click on Uninstall updates. In the list that appears, locate the most recent update and select Uninstall next to it. Then restart your server and workstations.
