Historical Receipts
When you move an existing set of books into 21st Century Accounting, you can establish customer Receivables balances by entering open invoices with Configure/Historical Invoices. You can enter a single "summary" invoice or all open invoices. You can also enter paid invoices and enter the customer receipts in the Configure/Historical Receipts window to establish detailed history for a customer.
Note: Historical receipts are receipts that have been posted and are already reflected in your general ledger. Data that you enter in this window affects customer Receivables balances only.
Before proceeding with data entry, print the Customer Activity report to verify that the total of all customer balances equals the total balance of all Receivables control accounts. Print the Aged Receivables report to verify that your historical invoices fall into the correct aging periods, based on the due dates.
