21st Century Accounting Help - Payables/Configure
Tax Groups
When tax authorities overlap (when, for example, sales tax is collected by the state, the county, and the city on certain items), use Receivables/Configure/Tax Groups to collect the authorities into a group for calculation of the tax on invoices. You can associate a sales tax group with a customer in Receivables/Configure/Customers. The customer's tax group is displayed and used to calculate the sales tax on the customer's invoice. You can also select the sales tax group when you enter an invoice.
In a company configured for Canadian taxes, you can optionally assign tax groups to product list items. The item tax group overrides the customer tax group on invoices.
