21st Century Accounting Help - General Ledger
Segment Value and Name
Use the General Ledger/Configure/GL Account Segment Names window to give names to the account segments that represent departments, divisions, regions, stores, cost/revenue centers, whatever the subdivision is by which you track your business. You can then use the names elsewhere in the system to identify the subdivision.
- Value. Enter the segment value that represents the subdivision in your account structure for which you watn to provide a name.
- Name. The system defaults a name based on the segment value. You can accept the default name or type over the default with your own name for each segment value that represents a subdivision in your account structure.
