Editing the Chart of Accounts
Highlight an account you wish to edit and press F2. To add accounts, move to <new> and press F2 or just press F9 under the appropriate category. A new account line opens and you can enter the ID and name and select a cash flow category (if applicable) and a summarize option.
You can highlight and move or copy multiple accounts. Hold down the Ctrl key and click each account you want to select. To highlight a group of accounts next to each other, click the first account, hold down the Shift key, and click the last account.
To add an account or a number of accounts with new segment values, highlight the account or accounts you want to replicate as departmental (or divisional or as any accounting center for which you created a segment). Right-click and select Replicate selected accounts. In the Replicate dialog, type the new values for the account segment and press OK.
