B3012 error is an indication that C21 cannot communicate with a local Pervasive engine due to Pervasive not running or not running properly. If the C21 install was done directly onto the computer with the error, you should be able to locate the “Pervasive Database - Pre-load” icon in the Taskbar. Right-click the Pervasive icon to view the About window, and check to see if the icon shows a red or green “light”.

If the Pervasive engine shows a red light, it is not running properly. You will need to uninstall and reinstall Pervasive.
