Workstations can't access C21 if Server not started first

This may be caused by installing 21st Century Accounting separate from the Pervasive Database Engine.
Setting up Pervasive as an application on the server will not automatically start the Pervasive service, so when a workstation (or “Client”) tries to access C21, because Pervasive is not started, the data can’t be read by the program and an “Invalid Data found in Directory” error will pop up.
The simplest way to resolve this issue is to re-install the Pervasive Database Engine on its own, choosing to install as a Service as opposed to installing as an Application.
