Earnings report doesn't show GL Account IDs
Posted: January 16th, 2012, 10:36 pmIn BPI the Earnings Report showed the account IDs. In C21 this capability is assumed to be incorporated in multiple pay factors. For example, each income factor is associated with a GL Account and the income factors are associated with the YTD earnings. We do not store the GL Accounts in the YTD earnings records so we cannot do this directly at the employee level.(At a summary level the GL Distribution Report works).
Best case for a user who wants to see YTD information broken out by GL Account is to have them set up different pay factors for each GL Account and use the income/deductions/benefits summary reports.
However, there is also a custom export available, Payroll Distribution, which produces a CSV file that can be used in excel. User specifies payroll periods for the report. Each Employee/GL Account pair shows the total activity attributed to this account over the specified pay periods.
