“CDO Object Error” message when printing forms
CDO Object errors indicate that a user has upgraded and replaced the Crystal Reports form layouts that were previously used to print checks or invoices within the 21st Century software. If you have moved to a newer computer and used customized forms on another computer, this is an indication that you did not move your custom forms as indicated in the instructions for moving to a new computer. (Review this link for details: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=26 )
To fix this problem, do the following:
1. Go to System»Company»Preferences.
2. On the Forms tab, you will see that the Invoices item likely has an “Options” button to the right of the selection. This is an indication that the programming for that form is obsolete and does not work with newer computers. Click the drop list arrow next to the Invoices field to see a list of the updated forms available to print invoices.
3. Select an item from the list that causes the button to display “Preview” and NOT “Options”
4. If there are any other forms in your preferences window that offer an “Options” button, you should change the selection there as well.
5. Click OK to close the window and accept the new selection(s).
(Note: Preview button allows you to view the layout in more detail and you may print the preview on plain paper to verify that the layout fits your paper forms.)
