The ‘Depends’ utility is a tool that helps us determine what Windows software available on your computer is being used by our accounting software and where incompatibilities may exist. Here are the instructions:
1. On the computer that is having the problem:
2. Shut down C21, then click on the link http://www.hilbertsoft.com/C21/Download/C21_dep.exe. That should open your internet browser and start a download from our website.
3. Select the option to “Open” the file. This program will install the Microsoft tool.
4. After the program installs, the diagnostic program will automatically run, which will in turn run C21.
5. When C21 starts, login as usual (select your company file if necessary) then perform the steps that caused the error to occur, then exit out of C21.
6. After exiting C21, email the “c21.dwi” output file (the file name should show on your screen, to support@hilbertsoft.com. Instructions that will display in the black MS-DOS Command window. Thea “c21.dwi” file in the \c21\bin folder on the server.
