Email Pay Advices Generated by Direct Deposit

In order to email direct deposit advices, do the following

  1. Indicate that you wish to use this feature – Go to Payroll/Configure/Company Information and check the box ‘Email advice if possible’ which is located in the Direct deposit section of Configure Company.
  2. Enter an email address for each participating employee – Go to Payroll/Configure/Employees, select the Personnel tab, and click on the address field.  Enter the employees email address in the email field.
  3. Configure your company for email – Click on Account/Configure Company. 
    1. At ‘Email Address’, enter the email address that you want to use to send paycheck advices from.
    2. Click ‘Configure Email to enter information about your outgoing mail (SMTP) server.
    3. Enter the SMTP server name and port number provided by your email service provider. (You can find this information under account settings in your email.)
    4. Enter the User ID and Password for the email account you are using.
    5. In the ‘Bcc Email Address’ box, enter an email address if you wish to forward a copy of the invoices and statements that are emailed out.
    6. Click the TEST button. You should receive a test email from <company name> with a PDF attachment.

After configuration is complete, an Email button will be visible in Payroll/Print/Reprint Paycheck Information.
