Email Pay Advices Generated by Direct Deposit
In order to email direct deposit advices, do the following
- Indicate that you wish to use this feature – Go to Payroll/Configure/Company Information and check the box ‘Email advice if possible’ which is located in the Direct deposit section of Configure Company.
- Enter an email address for each participating employee – Go to Payroll/Configure/Employees, select the Personnel tab, and click on the address field. Enter the employees email address in the email field.
- Configure your company for email – Click on Account/Configure Company.
- At ‘Email Address’, enter the email address that you want to use to send paycheck advices from.
- Click ‘Configure Email to enter information about your outgoing mail (SMTP) server.
- Enter the SMTP server name and port number provided by your email service provider. (You can find this information under account settings in your email.)
- Enter the User ID and Password for the email account you are using.
- In the ‘Bcc Email Address’ box, enter an email address if you wish to forward a copy of the invoices and statements that are emailed out.
- Click the TEST button. You should receive a test email from <company name> with a PDF attachment.
After configuration is complete, an Email button will be visible in Payroll/Print/Reprint Paycheck Information.
